Currently, we are seeking a Quality Control Associate for manufacturing plant in Palmer Township!

This is a temp to hire position on 1st shift.

First shift is from 7: 00am 3: 00pm Monday Friday

Quality Inspector Quality Assurance Production - Manufacturing

Essential Job Functions:

1. Conduct Quality audits through regular in-process inspections of work and materials. Constantly in judgment of critical quality requirements. Ensure part and product adherence to specifications, tolerances, and consistently accept, reject, or deviate non-conforming parts or products.

2. Maintain, record, and update in process QA sheets for critical dimensions and visual inspection consistent with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Controlled drawings and prints. When requested, evaluate the effectiveness of QA sheets, Lot sheets, blueprints, and inspection procedures. Ensure follow-up of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and deviations ensuring that the appropriate changes have been made.

3. Communicate with supervisors, assemblers, engineers, QA and all other appropriate people and departments on product development. Assist with troubleshooting and correcting production problems, offering suggestions and ideas. Requires considerable liaison between departments.

4. Initiate action to dispose of nonconforming product. Assist in the decision of borderline and debatable cosmetic issues. Maintain a well-organized documentation system, where accurate and complete records are kept, of problems and their solutions. Ensure scrap and rework is at the lowest possible level.

5. Proficient in all related part specifications, work instructions, part numbers, part descriptions, operations, and proper care of test equipment and computer test stations used in the production of Sussex Wire products within one part family.

6. Keep work area neat, clean and well organized. Ensure all assigned tools, fixtures, supplies and other equipment are maintained and returned to their proper storage areas.

7. Job functions include but are not limited to those listed. Will perform all tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, Manager, and President/CEO.

8. Logs on to jobs and reports pieces produced using Sussex Wire s ERP system.

Quality Inspector Quality Assurance Production Manufacturing
General Requirements:

1. High school diploma or GED certificate from certified mechanical program is preferred.

2. Must display interpersonal and organizational skills along with strict attention to details.

3. Use appropriate method and measuring devices. This includes but is not limited to the following: dial calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and radius gauges.

4. Proficient computer skills including data entry, spreadsheets and word processing. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

5. Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.

6. May be required to lift heavy (over 30 lbs.) objects.

7. Ability to effectively perform the above mentioned essential job functions.
