The qualified candidate will be mechanically inclined; able to read tape measures and calipers; multi-task, think on their feet, and be attentive to details; able to lift up to 100 pounds; bend and twist throughout the day. Job responsibilities include set up of machines according to custom specifications, and operation to produce high quality paper cores. Prior machine operating experience is required, though machine specific training will be conducted once enrolled in our formal training program.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare all materials and packaging for processing.
Transport raw material to process station.
Feed raw material into machinery.
Take and label finished material samples.
Ensure proper fill and packaging of finished product, through weighing and observation.
Clean out mills as required.
Prepare set-ups for next job.
Clean and maintain work area.
Perform various other duties as assigned by management.
Ability to understand written & verbal instructions in English is needed.
Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. Periodically is required.
Ability to perform basic math calculations such as percentages, adding, subtracting, etc., is needed.
Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
As a Machine Operator you must be able to work in a team-oriented environment. You must be able to communicate well with management and fellow employees. Ideal candidates have very positive attitude and previous experience.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment is preferred.
Excellent attendance records from previous employers.
Must pass comprehensive drug and alcohol screening prior to employment.
