Line Leader- 2nd shift-Assembly-Production-Leadership
Shift: 2: 00pm -11: 30pm
Pay: $13 - $14 per hour based on experience.

Job Duties:

Assist the Team Leader (TL) to execute and coordinate daily work schedules while running a production line as efficiently and productively as possible within the policies and procedures currently in place and with respect to the primary metrics of SQDCI (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory) & HR (Human Resources). Perform other duties that ensure smooth workflow, schedule, process, quality adherence and improvement.

Line Leader- 2nd shift-Assembly-Production-Leadership

Job Functions: Line Leader must be willing and able to perform similar duties as the Team Leader whenever the team lead is unavailable These duties include:

1. Generally, support TL in daily activities needed to process work load and run cell. This may include duties on the Leader Standard Work document and/or:
a. Posting job paperwork
b. Posting non-conforming parts
c. Maintain Tier 1 board
d. Accepting delivery of new pulled parts
e. Interacting with Material Handlers and Planning for material issues
f. Interacting with Planning to clarify or correct job paperwork issues
g. Interacting with Quality department for nonconforming issues
h. Interacting with Manufacturing Engineers for assembly and production issues
i. Interacting with Team Members (TM) to support completion of tasks in department
j. Fill in for TM in their absence from department

Perform other Duties related to Key Performance Indicators (KPI):

1. Assure TM follows standard work and safety practices, company policies and procedures, while engaging them to offer input on suggestions for improvement
2. Verify that work stations have been cleaned and 5S scheduled tasks have been fulfilled

1. Performs in- process inspection to ensure a quality product
2. Record non-conforming transactions and move non-conforming inventory to assigned location
3. Actively engages in supporting and participating in continuous improvement activities

1. Download schedule and executes daily work schedule to keep production lines operating efficiently
2. Assists TM/TL with production issues, actively engaging them in seeking their input and solutions and recording opportunities and solutions on white board in department
3. Interacts with PM or Planning Department to follow up on parts needed for production
4. Utilizes computer skills and Syteline to locate parts, bills of materials, investigate issues, drawings and other information as needed
5. Post/Unpost jobs as assigned
6. Actively participate in performing assembly duties in order to achieve team objectives and goals as required

1. Download schedule and executes daily work schedule to keep production lines operating efficiently
2. Assure that all TM s are punctual and in department at the start of the day and after every break or interruption
3. Ensures scheduled preventative maintenance checks are performed
4. Help ensure that every process is value-added

1. Verify receipt of materials from Material Handlers and report discrepancies
2. Identify Job errors and seek to resolve issues
3. Ensures that Kanban tags match physical inventory and the tags are in the correct location
4. Manage inventory & excess parts in cell including negative quantities.

Development of Team Members:
1. Is a subject matter expert for value stream and assists TL in training of assigned personnel, including cross training according to the production skill matrix needs, and in providing direction and development of team members
2. Participates in performance reviews of TM s.
3. Participates in disciplinary process.
4. Participates in Lean activities, including educating TM s on basic Lean concepts
5. High energy level, positive attitude, strong work ethic and professional demeanor
6. Must be detail oriented
